Welcome to Apatani Biisi Kheta (the "App"), published by the Apatani Baptist Association, Ziro (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

By using the App, you acknowledge and consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

1. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

• User Preferences: Theme, font size, font family, and the “Keep Screen Awake” setting.
• Favorite Songs: A list of song numbers you have marked as favorites.

This information is stored solely on your device within the App’s local storage (shared_preferences). We do not collect, access, or transmit this data. You can clear this data at any time by resetting the App's data via your device settings.

2. Information Processed via Third-Party Services (Upon User Action)

• WhatsApp: When you initiate feedback or submit comments through WhatsApp, the url_launcher package is used to open WhatsApp and send your message to a dedicated number managed by the Apatani Baptist Association. Your use of WhatsApp is subject to WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy. We do not collect or store any data from these interactions.
• Sharing: When you use the App’s Share feature, the share_plus package invokes your device’s native sharing interface. The data you share depends on the third-party app you select, which is governed by that app’s privacy policy (e.g., WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram). We do not access or store any data from this process.

3. Technical & Usage Information (Processed by Firebase)

We use Google Firebase services to enhance performance and user experience:

• Firebase Crashlytics: Collects crash reports, device state, unique app instance identifiers, and stack traces to help us diagnose and fix bugs.
• Firebase Analytics: Collects aggregated usage data (such as screens visited, session durations, and feature usage), device identifiers, approximate location, and device information.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Collects device tokens and notification interaction data to enable push notifications. Notifications may include images hosted on Firebase Storage.

Data collected by Firebase is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase-specific terms.

How We Use Information

• Locally stored preferences and favorites are used solely for providing App functionality on your device.
• Information processed by WhatsApp or sharing features is used only to facilitate those specific user-initiated actions.
• Crashlytics data is used exclusively to diagnose and improve App stability.
• Analytics data is used in aggregate or pseudonymous form to enhance App features and performance.
• FCM data is used to deliver push notifications regarding new content or important updates.

Data Storage and Security

• Preferences and favorites are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.
• Data collected by Firebase services is stored and processed by Google according to their established security practices.

Data Sharing

• We do not sell or share your locally stored preferences or favorites with any third parties.
• Data collected by Firebase is processed by Google as described in their privacy policies. We access only aggregated or anonymized reports as necessary for App improvement.
• Interactions with third-party apps (such as WhatsApp) are governed by the respective third-party privacy policies.
• Push notifications may include images hosted on Firebase Storage, but no personal data is shared in this process.

User Choices and Control

• You may clear locally stored data at any time via your device’s system settings.
• You can limit ad tracking or device identifiers through your device’s privacy settings.
• You have the option to control push notifications via your device’s notification settings.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so that we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Effective Date.” We encourage you to review this policy regularly.
